Began her career in the marketing industry early in the 1980’s working with a number of diverse clients including Pharmaceuticals, Industrial Catering, Exhibitions and marketing Commercial Property. In 1988, Remmington Gray was formed, which managed the advertising and marketing for a small portfolio of clients which included Swiss Air and Norwich Life Properties.
In 1993, Vanessa joined Gitam, where she was responsible for C.N.A. and the first lottery scratch cards Viva and Zama -Zama. Zama-Zama comprised concept, development and the project management of the TV Game Shows.
In 1998, Vanessa joined The Agency and was Account Director for the planning and execution of television channel and programme communications for SABC2, SABC3 and SABC Education.
Her particular talent is bringing a diverse range of partners to execute a communications strategy, ensuring that the job gets done- in time and on budget.
She was nicknamed Mama Action by one of her long-term clients at SABC.
